The Morro Rock "the Gibralter of the Pacific" is a famous landmark on the central coast of California. California State Park docents provide walks and information about the Rock and surrounding areas. Morro Rock is now a protected home for the endangered Peregrine Falcon.

The Morro Strand State Beach features three miles of beach and is popular for fishing, windsurfing, jogging and kite-flying. Over 100 campsites are available, but while restrooms are on-site, no shower or hookup amenities are available. Reservations recommended from April to September.
