The Morro Bay Harbor Festival is an annual celebration of the Central Coast's unique food, wine, lifestyle and working waterfront. It is held the first full weekend in October.
The festival was first held in 1982 and included many of the festival's current popular activities such as the Wine and California Cuisine Tasting Pavilion, Maritime Heritage Pavilion, Sand Sculpture Spectacular, Carnival Cove, local businesses on display, and the opportunity to sample local seafood specialties. There is also a variety of music to be heard on our three entertainment stages which provide up to fifteen acts a day. Headliners as well as local community choirs, bands, and dance troupes provide wonderful entertainment to festival goers.
The Morro Bay Harbor Festival serves as a fundraiser for San Luis Obispo County nonprofit organizations. Substantial proceeds from the Morro Bay Harbor Festival are shared with nonprofit groups who provide crews during festival weekend.
